The nominations of officers and officials for Local 70 will be held Saturday, November 6 at 10:00 a.m. in Local 70's auditorium. Members will be choosing for President, Vice President, Secretary-Treasurer, Recording Secretary and three Trustees. They also will nominate six Business Agents.

The election will be a mail referendum. The Executive Board opted for the vote by mail hoping that it will increase member participation. Today's members are spread over a very broad geographic area. The lack of participation in recent walk-in elections was a factor in the decision.

Ballots will be mailed to every member just before Thanksgiving. They must be returned by December 7 to be counted. The term of office is three years ending December 31, 2007 .
