Hoffa-Mack 2006

Hi and welcome to our campaign website.   I look forward to running again for Vice President on the Jim Hoffa and Tom Keegel slate.  The past five years have been as quick as they have been exciting, the challenges immense and accomplishments many.  One thing for sure – there's much more to do.  The challenges will be no less and maybe greater than we have seen this past term.

One event that sticks out in my mind through it all is the “Teamster and Turtles Finally Together” sign that a young demonstrator displayed at the anti-WTO rally in Seattle.  It epitomizes what the Hoffa presidency and administration have been about – that is reaching out and building new coalitions so that we can provide a powerful voice for working families.  It's also been about member mobilization to help organize new members, negotiate strong contracts and build effective political action programs, in short, building Teamster power.

I'm proud of what we've accomplished.  With member support, we've restored Teamster financial strength, and created a meaningful strike fund and organizing fund at the same time.  Our national contracts at UPS and freight and carhaul are among the best negotiated in all of labor.  The Teamsters is stronger today than it was five years ago.

As we approach this election we need your support, your financial assistance and your vote.  It will enable us to continue to build Teamster numbers and Teamster power.
